KIAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week Ryanne Purcell (Asbury)
FLORENCE, Ky. – Ryanne Purcell had a big week at the net for Asbury (Ky.) University and is the KIAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Oct. 12-18.
Purcell is a 5-10, sophomore outside hitter from Owensboro, Ky., who totaled 38 kills in three matches and tallied an attack percentage of .372 for the week. Her average of 3.45 kills per set was highlighted with 21 kills in a five-set win over conference opponent IU Southeast.
Purcell also posted nine kills and four digs in a KIAC win over Ohio Christian. She finished up her week with eight kills in a loss to No. 5-ranked Lindsey Wilson (Ky.). Her effort helped Asbury to an 18-10 record overall and 6-1 KIAC for third place in the conference.
