KIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week Kyle Benecke (Ohio Christian)
FLORENCE, Ky. – Kyle Benecke won first place at the Asbury (Ky.) Invitational last Saturday and was named the KIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week Oct. 19-25.
Benecke is a freshman from Lewis Center, Ohio. His time of 27:54 bested a field of 44 runners in the five-mile race. Benecke has set several OCU school records in this his freshman season.
With Benecke leading the way, OCU finished fourth at Asbury in the team standings. Up next for the Trailblazers is the KIAC Championship Meet Nov. 7 at Rio Grande.
