KIAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week Lindi Thomas (IU Kokomo)
FLORENCE, Ky. – IU Kokomo's Lindi Thomas had a big week at the net and was named the KIAC Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Sept. 28-Oct. 4.
Thomas is a 5-9, sophomore outside hitter from Parker City, Ind. She posted 28 total kills in five sets on the week as IU Kokomo went a perfect 3-0.
Thomas had 10 kills and 10 digs in a big KIAC win at IU Southeast. She also had nine kills and eight digs in victory over Rochester and nine kills and 10 digs in a win over IU Northwest.
Thomas' play lifted IU Kokomo to 21-2 overall and 5-0 KIAC. She leads the Cougars with 188 kills on the year and is second on the team with 221 digs. She has an attack percentage of .229.
The Cougars are receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25 and one of two undefeated teams in KIAC play along with Asbury. IU Kokomo has won 11 in a row and has its next match Oct. 10 at home versus Asbury (12 p.m.).
