KIAC Volleyball Defender of the Week: Taylor Sutton (IU Southeast)

FLORENCE, Ky. -- For the second time this year, IU Southeast libero Taylor Sutton has been named the KIAC Volleyball Defender of the Week. She earned the latest award for the week of Nov. 2-8.

Sutton, a sophomore from Seymour, Ind., had 19 digs in a match versus Cincinnati Christian, the only match of the week for the Grenadiers. She was also perfect in serve-receive with zero errors in 28 attempts for 100 percent reception. Sutto had only one error in 16 serve attempts.

For the year, Sutton is third in the KIAC with 4.9 digs per set, a figure that ranks 38th in the nation. Her team-high 379 digs have come in just 77 sets played.

Sutton has led the Grenadiers to a record of 17-16 overall and 8-4 KIAC. IU Southeast will be the No. 5 seed in the upcoming KIAC Tournament Nov. 13-14 at Rio Grande.
