KIAC MBB Player of the Week: Kelvin Goodwin (Point Park)

FLORENCE, Ky. -- For the second week in a row, Point Park (Pa.) University senior guard Kelvin Goodwin is the KIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games Nov. 16-22.

Goodwin, a 6-0 native of Wheeling Park, W.Va., put up four 20-point games in four games last week to take home the weekly honor again. For the week, he averaged 23.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 4.0 apg, shot 45 percent from the floor, 78 percent from the foul line and made 11 3-pointers.

It was a busy week for the Pioneers (6-4, 1-2 KIAC) with four games in five nights. Goodwin put up 22 points, six rebounds and five assists in a home win over Villa Maria (N.Y.), 23 points and five rebounds in a loss at WVU Tech, 27 points, four rebounds and five assists in a home win over Asbury (Ky.) and 21 points and five assists in a loss to Brescia (Ky.).

For the year, the transfer from Slippery Rock (Pa.) is second in the KIAC with a team-leading 23.3 ppg. He is also averaging 5.6 rpg and 5.5 apg. The Pioneers are off until Dec. 1 at Villa Maria (N.Y.)
