FLORENCE, Ky. – Brooke Perkins of Asbury (Ky.) University posted two shutouts in two games and has been named the KIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for games Oct. 26-Nov. 1.

Perkins, a 5-6 sophomore from Nicholasville, Ky., picked up her fourth conference defensive player of the week award this year.

She had seven saves in an important, 1-0 win over Point Park to keep the Eagles in first place in the KIAC. She also had one save in a 4-0 shutout of Brescia. She now has seven shutouts on the year and ranks 42nd in the NAIA in goals-against average at 0.920.

Asbury (11-4-1, 6-1 KIAC) plays Cincinnati Christian in its final game on Thursday. A victory would give the Eagles the KIAC regular-season title. Follow KIAC Women's Soccer at KIACSports.com and on Twitter @KIACSports.
