KIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week Mia Wiersema (Asbury)
FLORENCE, Ky. – Mia Wiersema scored a big goal for Asbury (Ky.) University last week and has been named the KIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for Oct. 26-Nov. 1.
The big goal, her fifth of the year, gave the Eagles a 1-0 win over Point Park and took over sole possession of first place KIAC for Asbury. Wiersema also picked up an assist in a 4-0 win over Brescia.
Wiersema has started all 16 games and is third on the team with 14 points. Asbury (11-4-1, 6-1 KIAC) has won six games in a row entering Thursday's KIAC game versus Cincinnati Christian.
