KIAC MBB Player of the Week: Jermain Langley (Brescia)

FLORENCE, Ky. -- Brescia (Ky.) University senior guard Jermain Langley pulled off a triple-double in a big conference win to highlight his honor as KIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 30 through Dec. 6.

A 6-3 guard from Henderson, Ky., Langley averaged 11.0 points, 6.3 rebounds and 11.0 assists per game in three games last week as Brescia went 3-0. He capped off the week with a triple double of 18 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in an overtime win at KIAC opponent IU Kokomo, 80-77. In that game, he played 43:50 out of 45 minutes.

Langley also had 11 points, seven rebounds and 15 assists versus NCCAA school Morthland (Ill.). He played 13 minutes in a win over Boyce College and came up with seven assists.

He reached two milestones on the week as he surpassed 1,000 career points and 400 career assists. For the year, he is averaging 10.8 ppg and 7.3 apg. His 88 total assists lead NAIA Division II, and his 7.3 apg average is second nationally.

Langley has led the Bearcats to a record of 8-4 overall and 3-0 KIAC to lead the KIAC Capital Division. Brescia's next game is home versus St. Catharine (Ky.) on Dec. 17.
