KIAC Softball Preseason Coaches' Poll
The 2015 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic conference preseason softball poll was released Tuesday, February 3rd by KIAC officials. Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own team. The defending regular season champion and conference tournament champion Indiana University Southeast Grenadiers were selected as the top team. IU Southeast received five first-place votes and 47 total points.
University of Rio Grande sits in the second position with two first-place vote and 41 total points. Point Park University is third with the one first-place vote and 38 points. Brescia University is fourth in the poll with 33 points. Asbury University is fifth with 26 points, followed by Carlow Univeristy (19 points), Midway College (13 points) and Alice Lloyd College (7 points).
Conference play will begin in late February. The season will conclude with the KIAC Tournament April 24-25 in Danville, KY.
