Alyssa McMurtrie, Point Park University – Softball Player of the Week

5-0 Sophomore – Coraopolis, PA

Point Park University sophomore Alyssa McMurtrie was named the KIAC softball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, March 16th.

McMurtrie finished the week with a .571 batting average (4-for-7) as the Pioneers finished the week with a 2-0 record. In an 11-1 win against Alice Lloyd, the sophomore center fielder had a triple and scored two runs. In the second game of the doubleheader she recorded a single, double, homerun, 6 runs batted in and scored 2 runs.

Point Park University is 5-5 overall and 2-0 in conference play. They will return to action on March 18th when they travel to Malone College for a doubleheader.
