Demetrius Moorer, Point Park University – Baseball Player of the Week

5-9 Junior – Homestead, FL

Point Park University junior Demetrius Moorer was named the KIAC baseball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, March 23rd. This is his second player of the week award of the season.

Moorer finished the week hitting .474 (9-for-19) as the Pioneers ended the week with a 5-0 record. The junior center fielder tallied 3 doubles, 1 triple, 1 homerun, 5 runs batted in, 3 stolen bases and 7 runs scored last week. He had at least one hit in all 5 games including a 4-for-4 game against Asbury. Moorer ranks 6th in the KIAC with a .380 batting average, 2nd in slugging percentage (.700), 2nd in stolen bases (10) and 1st in triples (5).

No. 24 Point Park University is 15-4 overall and 4-0 in conference play. They will return to action on March 24th when they travel to West Virginia Institute of Technology for a doubleheader.
