DANVILLE, Ky. - The final four teams remaining in the hunt for the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference softball championship will have to wait another week to find out who claims the title.
Early morning rain - and the forecast for much, much more throughout the day - forced the postponement of the tournament's conclusion, which was scheduled for Saturday at Millenium Park.
As a result of the inclement weather and the scheduling of final exams at some member schools during the early part of next week, tournament officials decided to attempt to complete the tournament next Friday, May 1.

Top-seeded Indiana University-Southeast and No. 3 seed University of Rio Grande will play in the winner's bracket final at 1 p.m. on Panasonic Field, while fourth-seeded Brescia University and No. 5 seed Carlow University will play a loser's bracket elimination game, also at 1 p.m., on Colonels Field.
The IU-Southeast-Rio Grande winner will advance to the championship first final of the double-elimination tournament.
The Brescia-Carlow winner will move on to face the IU-Southeast-Rio Grande loser in another elimination contest at 3 p.m., with that winner advancing to face the IU-Southeast-Rio winner for the title.
The championship first final is set for 6 p.m., while a second final - if needed - would be played immediately afterward at 8 p.m.
Saturday, May 2, will serve as the rain date for the tourney's conclusion.
