University of Rio Grande sophomore Alex Presley was named the KIAC men's outdoor field athlete of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, April 27th.
The University of Rio Grande competed in the KIAC Championships on April 25th. Presley won each of the three events in which he competed. He won the hammer throw with a mark of 42.92m, the discus with a mark of 45m and the shot put with a mark of 14.09m. The RedStorm also won the team event. The NAIA Nationals are scheduled for May 21-23 in Gulf Shores, AL.
