Lady Bearcats Soccer 2015 Season Outlook

The Brescia Bearcats Women's Soccer Team is looking to take big strides forward in the fall of 2015. Coaches David Ralph and Lauren Brooks hope to build on a strong group of upperclassmen, as they mesh with a big incoming freshman class. The Lady Bearcats have set to fill positions with players talented enough to play multiple positions.

The Bearcats will be led onto the field this year by seniors Eva Burelos, Laura Estridge and Nicole Ralph. Laura Estridge and Kaitlyn Crites, junior, will both be returning from season ending injuries last year.

The Bearcats look to move up the ranks in the always tough KIAC. Last year they did not qualify for the tournament as they had no conference wins and only had one win for the entire season. The team suffered from devastating injuries to Estridge and Crites that depleted the bench completely as the tough ladies played several games with no subs. This year should be a different story as the numbers on the team have increased overall.

The group of talented freshman include Hayley Coons and Jessica Embry from Daviess County High School, Maddie Crumbaker and Amber Thomas from McLean County High School, Natalie Escobar from Nashville, and Sam Miller from St Louis.

The Lady Bearcats will look to make a big improvement in team play, with an emphasis being placed on offensive productivity. They open up August 21st at Kamuf Park and are lucky enough to play 11 of their 18 games at home this season.
