CCU's Steepe named KIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

FLORENCE, Ky. -- Cincinnati Christian University goalkeeper Kendra Steepe has garnered KIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week honors for matches played Aug. 24-30. Steepe is a 5-8 sophomore from Marysville, Ohio.

Steepe posted a big game with 15 saves despite a 2-0 loss to Cumberland (Tenn.) on Aug. 29. Steepe was trailing, 1-0, at the half before Cumberland stretched out the final margin.

For the year, Steepe has 24 saves in two games and a record of 1-1 for the Eagles (1-1). She has a goals-against average of 1.00, which also includes a 3-0 win over St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
