IUK's Cortney Hanson named KIAC Volleyball Setter of the Week
FLORENCE, Ky. -- IU Kokomo senior Cortney Hanson has been named the KIAC Volleyball Setter of the Week for matches played Aug. 24-30, announced the conference office on Monday (Aug. 31). Hanson, a 5-4 native of Logansport, Ind., directed the Cougars (9-1) to a 5-0 record on the week.
Hanson collected 99 totals assists in five matches for an average of 5.50 assists per set. Running a 6-2 rotation for IU Kokomo, she kept the attack strong in the Cougars' 4-0 showing at the Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) Classic this past weekend. Hanson also totaled 24 digs and four service aces on the week.

Note: The NAIA has amended its Volleyball Player of the Week awards this year to recognize more players. The KIAC has also adopted the change, which will name weekly an Attacker of the Week, Setter of the Week and Defender of the Week.
