KIAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Bryan McDowell (Cincinnati Christian)

FLORENCE, Ky. – Cincinnati Christian University's Bryan McDowell has been tabbed the KIAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for his play Sept. 7-13, the conference announced at KIACsports.com.

A 6-2 sophomore out of Cincinnati, Ohio, McDowell was 1-0 as the Eagles' goalkeeper on the week. It was the season opener for CCU, a 1-0 victory over Lourdes (Ohio) on Sept. 9.

McDowell faced 26 shots from the Lourdes offense and made 10 saves in the big performance on his part. He earned the shutout in a game that was 0-0 until CCU took a 1-0 lead in the 65th minute.
