KIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week -- Brian Moore (Point Park)
FLORENCE, Ky. – For the second week in a row, Point Park University freshman Brian Moore has been named the KIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week. He earned the award for his performance Sept. 7-13.
Moore, from Howell, Mich., led Point Park to first place and the team victory at the Bethany (W.Va.) College Invitational by placing second of 149 runners individually. He finished the 8K race in 27:00 to shave five seconds off his previous best time of 27:05 last week in his college debut.
Conditions were very wet and soggy due to heavy rains, which slowed the times down across the board. Moore's 27-minute race was one of three Point Park runners under 28 minutes and in the Top 10.
Point Park men's cross country is next in action on Saturday at the Penn State-Behrend Invitational on Saturday.
