KIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week Teryn Wright (Asbury)
FLORENCE, Ky. – Asbury (Ky.) University's Teryn Wright scored two game-winning goals last week to lead the Eagles to a pair of victories and was named the KIAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday (Sept. 21).
A senior forward from Nicholasville, Ky., Wright put in the eventual game-winning goals in victories over Pikeville (Ky.), 5-0, and St. Francis (Ind.), 3-1. She also added one assist and finished the week with two goals, one assist and five points.
Asbury (5-2, 0-0 KIAC) has won five games in a row, and Wright has led the way with four goals and two assists in that span. The Eagles' next game is Sept. 24 at Georgetown (Ky.).
