KIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week Brooke Perkins (Asbury)
FLORENCE, Ky. – For the second week in a row, Asbury (Ky.) University goalkeeper Brooke Perkins has been named the KIAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday (Sept. 28).
Perkins, a 5-6 sophomore from Nicholasville, Ky., came up with seven saves in a 1-1, double-overtime tie with Georgetown (Ky.) (7-1-1). Perkins allowed just the one goal in 110 minutes.
Perkins' effort put Asbury's record at 5-2-1 overall. In eight games, she has given up eight goals and has three shutouts. The Eagles are next in action at home versus Marian (Ind.) on Saturday at 1 p.m.
