KIAC Volleyball Defender of the Week Kaleigh Ensley (IU Kokomo)
FLORENCE, Ky. – IU Kokomo libero Kaleigh Ensley led the Cougars to three victories from Sept. 21-27 and was named the KIAC Volleyball Defender of the Week, the conference announced on Monday (Sept. 28).
Ensley is a 5-5 junior from Ft. Wayne, Ind., who averaged 4.78 digs per set last week as IU Kokomo picked up three wins, all by a 3-0 sweep.
Ensley picked up 11 digs in a win over Purdue-North Central. She also had a week-high 23 digs in a KIAC victory over Ohio Christian. The Cougars improved to 18-2 overall, 4-0 KIAC as she posted nine digs versus Cincinnati Christian.
For the season, Ensley leads IU Kokomo with 254 total digs and 4.10 per set. The Cougars have won four in a row and return to action Tuesday at IU Southeast for a 7 p.m. match.
