FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park (Pa.) University freshman goalkeeper Manual Pajzer had two shutouts on the week to pick up River States Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Oct. 10-16.

A native of Germany, Pajzer had eight saves in a 1-0 win over Ohio Christian on Saturday. All eight saves came in the second half when the Pioneers were playing a man down for the final 30 minutes.

Pajzer was able to make some big saves to preserve the lead as OCU held a 13-3 advantage in shots the second half. He also had eight saves in a 7-0 shutout at Rochester (Mich.) earlier in the week.

Pajzer is third in the conference with 4.43 saves per game. He has started all 14 games for Point Park (7-6-1, 2-3 RSC) and has a 1.80 GAA. The Pioneers visit No. 13 WVU Tech on Oct. 20.
