Asbury's Falkenberg gets RSC Women's XC Runner of the Week for second time
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Asbury (Ky.) University senior Katy Falkenberg has been named the River States Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for the second time this year, this time for Oct. 10-16.
Falkenberg placed seventh of 366 runners at the Jenna Strong Classic hosted by Wilmington on Oct. 14. She broke her own school record with a time of 18 minutes, seven seconds in the 5K-race.
She was the third NAIA runner to cross the finish line, and she led all RSC runners at the meet, of which there were many conference teams there competing. Falkenberg is a native of North Canton, Ohio.
