CCU's Morris wins RSC Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Sept. 26-Oct. 2

FLORENCE, Ky. -- Cincinnati Christian University outside hitter Mallory Morris had a big week at the net to earn River States Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for Sept. 26-Oct. 2.

Morris, from Vermilion, Ohio, racked up 49 kills in three matches for an average of 4.08 kills per set. That came in a week where the Eagles were 2-1 overall and 2-1 in RSC play.

Morris capped off her week with 15 kills and 10 digs in a five-set win over IU East. Earlier in the week, she had 18 kills and 15 digs in a 3-1 loss versus IU Southeast. Posting double-digit kills in all three matches on the week, she also had 16 in a win over Ohio Christian.

Morris has 147 kills to lead the CCU team. The Eagles are now 7-5 overall, 2-2 RSC after their solid week. CCU hosts Asbury (Ky.) for its next match Oct. 4.
