Point Park's Ramos scores RSC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park (Pa.) University junior forward Alan Ramos scored the River States Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this year with his play Oct. 24-30.
Ramos, from San Antonio, Texas, scored two goals in each of Point Park's games as the Pioneers went 2-0 to secure an RSC playoff spot and go above .500 overall on the season.
Ramos scored two goals in a 3-0 win over non-conference Washington Adventist. He also put up two goals and an assist in a 6-0, RSC win over Carlow, which clinched playoffs.
He ranks third in the RSC and 16th nationally with 2.31 points per game. His 16 total goals on the year are fourth in the conference, and his 1.00 goals per game are 11th in the NAIA.
Point Park's next game is at Midway (Ky.) in the RSC Tournament quarterfinals.
