Point Park's Forse claims RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week award
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park (Pa.) University forward Carly Forse averaged double figures and shot 74 percent from the field in three wins last week to claim River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 14-20.
A 5-10 senior from Pittsburgh, Pa., Forse averaged 12.3 points per game and made 17 of 23 field goals for 73.9 percent on the week. She also averaged 5.0 rebounds and 3.3 steals in the three victories, which came in an average of 16 minutes played per game.
Point Park had the games in hand with wins over Penn State Fayette, 87-45, Penn State Greater Allegheny, 79-36, and Washington Adventist, 67-35. The Pioneers are 7-1 after a victory Monday night at Wilberforce.
For the season, Forse is averaging 10.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game and shooting 59 percent from the floor. The Pioneers have their next game at home Tuesday, Nov. 22 versus Penn State-Fayette.
