No. 9 IU East's Pipenger picks up RSC Men's Basketball Player of the Week
FLORENCE, Ky. -- IU East's Kyle Pipenger picked up River States Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week Nov. 21-27 with his career-high scoring output and six made 3-pointers in a win over NAIA Division I Fisk (Tenn.) Nov. 22.
Pipenger, a 6-2 senior from New Madison, Ohio, poured in his career-high 24 points in the 89-73 win over Fisk. He made 7 of 13 field goals, which included 50-percent accuracy of 6 for 12 from 3-point range. He also added three rebounds, two assists and two blocks and made all four of his free throws.
Pipenger, who put in another 20 points in Monday's 93-88, overtime win over No. 3 Davenport (Mich.), is averaging 11.7 points per game on the year. He is shooting 48 percent from 3-point range and 86 percent from the foul line.
IU East (9-1, 1-0 RSC) plays its next game Dec. 3 at home versus RSC opponent Ohio Christian at 3 p.m.
