WVU Tech's Lusk wins RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week, keys win over DI
FLORENCE, Ky. -- WVU Tech senior guard Cheyanna Lusk nearly had a triple-double in a victory over NCAA Division I Longwood (Va.) and thus won River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors for Nov. 21-27.
Lusk, a 5-7 native of Cyclone, W.Va., recorded 13 points, 11 rebounds and eight steals in the 76-58 win over the NCAA DI Lancers of the Big South Conference on Nov. 26. The win improved the Golden Bears to 6-3 on the year. Lusk played 36 minutes in the game.
For the year, Lusk is averaging 10.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.0 steals per game. WVU Tech has its next games in RSC play Dec. 2-3 at Carlow (Pa.) and Point Park (Pa.).
