WVU Tech's Pateli earns RSC Volleyball Setter of the Week
FLORENCE, Ky. -- WVU Tech freshman Kontantina Pateli increased her conference lead in assists on her way to earning River States Conference Volleyball Setter of the Week for Oct. 31-Nov. 6.
Pateli, from Athens, Greence, had 77 assists in two matches on the week to up her season total to 1,307, which is first in the conference and sixth in the NAIA. She also had 19 digs and six kills on the week as the Golden Bears went 1-1.
Pateli had 51 assists and 13 digs in four sets during a 3-1 win over Bluefield (Va.). The week started out with 26 assists, six digs and three kills in a 3-0 loss to Rio Grande.
She totaled three service aces on the week and is second in the conference in that category and sixth in the NAIA with 74 on the year. WVU Tech 22-18 overall, 6-10 RSC and will face IU Kokomo in the RSC Tournament quarterfinals Nov. 11 at CCU.
