IU Kokomo leads the RSC West Division with a 3-0 conference record, is 8-4 overall and carries a five-game win streak into the matchup. Midway is also riding a five-game win streak and has run its record to 11-4 overall. The Eagles are a game back of IU Kokomo in the division at 2-1 RSC.
Both programs have experienced big turnarounds from last year when IU Kokomo was 4-14 conference and Midway was 0-18. But all that is in the past with the Cougars and Eagles now at the opposite side of the standings.
IU Kokomo's last contest was an exhibition loss at NCAA Division II University of Indianapolis on Thursday night. That was the start of a four-game road trip. Midway is coming off wins at Cincinnati Christian and at Cincinnati Clermont already this week. The Eagles return home for just their third home game of the year on Saturday.
IU Kokomo is fourth in the conference in defense giving up 61.0 ppg. Offensively, the Cougars bring three double-digit scorers with guard Deja Felder (13.2 ppg) and forwards Abby Scott (10.2 ppg) and Whitney Williamson (10.1 ppg).
Midway is fourth in the conference in scoring at 75.0 ppg and sixth in defense at 64.7 ppg. Breanna Ball, a guard who transferred from St. Catharine College, averages a team-high 13.2 ppg. Forward Timitryi Patterson comes it at 12.3 ppg.
