WILMORE, Ky. -- Week 2 of the River States Conference Men's Basketball Game of the Week takes to the floor in Wilmore, Ky., when Asbury University hosts Brescia University in an RSC West Division matchup on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. ET

Asbury is 6-4 overall, 1-1 RSC and brings its No. 1-ranked scoring offense in NAIA Division II. The Eagles score an average of 112.1 points per game to lead the country. Asbury's fast pace has resulted in some exciting conference games last weekend. They opened up with a 113-108 loss at IU Kokomo but followed that up with a 105-104 win at Cincinnati Christian.

Brescia is 2-5 overall, 0-2 RSC and will be looking to get into the win column in conference play in an important divisional game. The Bearcats fell to No. 19 IU Southeast, 80-61, and then lost a close game versus Midway, 79-73, to open RSC action last weekend. At 2-5 overall, Brescia has started out with a schedule with several NAIA Division I schools.

Asbury has five players averaging double figures in scoring. Trenton Thompson leads the way at 19.9 ppg followed by Austin Kindred at 15.0 ppg.

Brescia has Dillon Geralds leading the team with 15.7 ppg and 6.1 rpg. Tavon Johnson (14.3 ppg) and Trey Howard (12.6 ppg) also come in at double figures.
