KIAC MBB Player of the Week: Kelvin Goodwin (Point Park)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Kelvin Goodwin led Point Park (Pa.) University to a pair of road wins in less than 24 hours to earn KIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week honors for Feb. 15-21.
Goodwin, a senior from Wheeling Park, W.Va., averaged 26.5 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 6.0 apg in victories at IU Southeast and at IU Kokomo Feb. 19-20. He shot 59 percent from the field (19 for 32), 38 percent from beyond the arc (6 for 16) and 90 percent from the foul line (9 for 10).
He picked up his third player of the week award this season by scoring 22 points in the win at IU Southeast. He followed that up the next daywith 31 points, eight rebounds, 10 assists and four treys at IU Kokomo. He played all but eight seconds on the weekend.
Goodwin is second in the KIAC with 22.5 ppg, and he ranks third in assists at 5.1 apg. Nationally, Goodwin is 12th in scoring, 16th in assists and 24th in steals per game.
