KIAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week: Trisha Spivey (IU East)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Indiana University East freshman Trisha Spivey has been named the KIAC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the third time this season. The most-recent honor comes for the week of Feb. 15-21.
A native of Liberty, Ind., Spivey continued her great performance in the high jump at the DePauw University Classic Feb. 20. There, she won the high jump event with a leap of 1.60 meters.
Spivey is one of the NAIA indoor leaders in the high jump this year, and her marks would qualify for the NAIA indoor national championship if IU East were declared for NAIA indoor track and field.
