KIAC MBB Game of the Week: #25 CCU at Alice Lloyd (Ky.)

PIPPA PASSES, Ky. -- With first place in the KIAC Capital Division on the line, No. 25 Cincinnati Christian University visits Alice Lloyd (Ky.) College for the KIAC Men's Basketball Game of the Week on Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.

Cincinnati Christian (17-6) leads the KIAC Capital with a conference record of 8-3 and owns a home win over Alice Lloyd (12-10, 8-4 KIAC) by a score of 66-63 earlier this year on Jan. 5. Alice Lloyd is a half game behind CCU in the division standings in second place and can overtake first place by tying up the season series.

Cincinnati Christian has not played since an 81-61 loss at Brescia (Ky.) on Feb. 2. The Eagles had gone 13-2 in their last 15 games entering that contest. CCU is very good at home with a 14-1 record and is 3-3 on the road.

Alice Lloyd is coming off a 75-55 loss at WVU Tech on Feb. 6. Alice Lloyd had won eight of its previous 10 games before that. Alice Lloyd is 5-2 at home, and starting with CCU, the Eagles play their final five games at home.

CCU is the top scoring defense team in the conference. The Eagles give up a conference-low 69.8 ppg. Alice Lloyd is fifth in the KIAC in both scoring offense (77.1 ppg) and scoring defense (76.1 ppg).

CCU has the inside duo of Kenny Ganyor (13.4 ppg) and Blake Walsman (12.1 ppg) as well as guards D.J. McCommons (11.3 ppg) and Nick Seibert (10.4 ppg).

Alice Lloyd has forward Tyler Rogers leading four players in double figures at 16.7 ppg. Cody Stumbo (11.5 ppg) leads the team with 25 treys. Shane Hall (10.2 ppg) and Austin Crisp (10.0 ppg) are the rebounding and assists leaders, respectively.
