KIAC MBB Player of the Week: Jerah'me Williams (Point Park)

FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park (Pa.) University senior guard Jerah'me Williams had a big week to earn KIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week accolades for games Feb. 1-7.

The 5-9 native of Youngstown, Ohio, averaged 28.0 points and 4.5 assists per game for the Pioneers, who went 2-0 with big home wins over WVU Tech and Rio Grande. He made 7 of 13 from 3-point range on the week for 54 percent, and he shot 21 of 35 overall for 60 percent.

Williams started out with 32 points and seven assists in a 93-92 win over WVU Tech. He made four treys that game. Williams then put up 24 points and was 3 of 4 from long range in a 92-89 victory over Rio Grande. In that game, he went over 1,000 career points in his two years at Point Park.

Williams is third in the KIAC with 19.5 ppg, and he is second in the conference in 3-point percentage at .446. Point Park has won four of its last five games and hosts Carlow in its next game Feb. 9 at 7:30 p.m.
