KIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Zach Harvey (Rio Grande)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Zach Harvey tossed a shutout in the University Rio Grande's 2-0 victory over Cincinnati Christian to earn KIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors for March 7-13.
A freshman from Kenova, W.Va., Harvey went all seven innings in the victory and gave up just three hits. He struck out eight and walked five and lowered his ERA to 1.46, which is second in the KIAC.
Rio Grande (15-10, 6-2 KIAC) resumes play on March 15 at home versus Ohio-Chilicothe.
