KIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week: Kelsey Conkey (Rio Grande)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- The University of Rio Grande's Kelsey Conkey picked up three victories last week to earn KIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week honors for March 7-13.
A freshman from Minford, Ohio, Conkey had an ERA of 1.17 with 20 strikeouts and three walks on the week. She worked a total of 18 innings across three games and gave up three runs on 10 hits.
Rio Grande went 5-1 on the week and completed a 7-1 showing on its trip to Myrtle Beach. Rio Grande (10-4, 0-0 KIAC) visits Pikeville for its next games on March 16.
