KIAC News Conference March 4 -- A Current of Change

NEW ALBANY, Ind. -- The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is holding a news conference this Friday, March 4, 2016 to announce a name change and a new brand logo for the conference. Join us March 4 at 10 a.m. on the campus of Indiana University Southeast and streaming live on the KIAC video portal on Stretch Internet.
After 100 years as the KIAC, the conference is taking on a "Current of Change." Don't miss this historic day in conference history. The following are the details of the March 4 news conference.
WHO: The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and its member schools. KIAC Commissioner Scott McClure, IU Southeast Chancellor & Chairman of the KIAC Council of Presidents Dr. Ray Wallace, IU Southeast Director of Athletics & KIAC Board of Athletic Directors President Joe Glover.
WHAT: The Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (KIAC) will announce a name change and new branding for the 100-year-old league on March 4 at Indiana University Southeast in New Albany, Ind.
WHEN: Friday, March 4, 2016 – News Conference at 10 a.m.. Media Conference Call with KIAC officials at 11 a.m.

WHY: After a century of academic and athletic success, the KIAC is updating and rebranding for the future. The KIAC was established in 1916.
DETAILS: The KIAC is currently in its 100th year of operations, having been established in 1916. The KIAC is the oldest conference in the NAIA. This is the culmination of a four-year process that began in the spring of 2012.
