KIAC Baseball Player of the Week: Tommy Weaver (WVU Tech)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- WVU Tech's Tommy Weaver was a hitting star in a pair of wins over Ohio Christian and has been named the KIAC Baseball Player of the Week for Feb. 29-March 6.
A senior from Luray, Va., Weaver was a combined 3 for 4 in a doubleheader sweep of Ohio Christian. The highlight was going 3-for-3 with a three-run homer and six RBIs in a 21-0 victory in the nightcap. The first game was a 13-0 win.
For the year, Weaver is hitting .647 (11 for 17) with two home runs and 14 RBIs. He has also pitched 1.2 innings of relief across three apperances and opponents are hitting .143 off of him.
