KIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week: Summer Ratliff (Asbury)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Asbury (Ky.) University senior Summer Ratliff pitched a perfect game last week versus Cincinnati-Clermont to earn KIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week honors for Feb. 29-March 6.
Ratliff, from Greensburg, Ky., retired all 15 batters she faced in the five-inning perfect game. It was an 8-0 victory that included 11 strikeouts, no hits and no errors.
Ratliff has started six games this year for the Eagles, all of which have been complete games. She has 26 strikeouts in 36 innings. The Eagles are back in action March 8 versus Pikeville.
