KIAC Softball Player of the Week: Sydney Seger (IU Southeast)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- IU Southeast freshman third baseman Sydney Seger batted .455 to lead the Grenadiers to a 6-0 record and earned KIAC Softball Player of the Week for April 4-10.
An Evansville, Ind., native, Seger was 10 for 26 with four doubles, a homer and eight RBIs. The Grenadiers swept KIAC doubleheaders from Midway and Asbury and also won in non-conference over Oakland City twice.
Seger hit in every game to lift her batting average to .435, which is third in the KIAC. Her four doubles gave her 14 on the year, tops in the conference. She also has three homers and 25 RBIs on the year.
IU Southeast (24-11, 11-1 KIAC) plays Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) on April 12 for a doubleheader.
