PITTSBURGH -- The University of Rio Grande (Ohio) visits Point Park (Pa.) University for the KIAC Baseball Games of the Week April 15-16 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Rio Grande (24-17, 10-6 KIAC) and Point Park (18-17, 11-5 KIAC) are separated by just 1.0 game in the KIAC standings with Point Park in third place, and Rio Grande in fourth.
The four-game series includes doubleheaders Friday at 1 p.m. and Saturday at 12 p.m. at Point Park Field at Green Tree Park.

The top five teams in the KIAC standing are separated by just 5.0 games, and Rio Grande and Point Park are both right in the middle of the race.
Point Park has won 11 of its last 12 KIAC games to improve to 11-5 conference. The Pioneers were off from KIAC play last week but took three of four from WVU Tech two weeks ago.
Rio Grande was also off from KIAC action last week but swept Brescia in four games the week before. The RedStorm has won seven of its last nine games overall.
Rio Grande brings one of the top hitting teams in the KIAC as its .322 team batting average is second in the conference. Kirk Yates (.389, 5 HR, 37 RBIs) and Chris Ford (.380, 3 HR, 33 RBIs) lead the team in hits.
Zach Harvey (6-3, 2.28 ERA) and Daryin Lewis (6-3, 3.67 ERA) are the top starters for Rio Grande.
Point Park is second in the KIAC in team ERA at 4.04 and second in team fielding percentage at .960. The Pioneers have Jason Kim (3-2, 2.61 ERA) and Nolan Krivijanski (3-2, 3.77 ERA) at the top of the rotation.
Point Park's top bat is shorstop Jake Horew at .374 with six homers and 26 RBIs.
