KIAC Baseball Player of the Week: Tanner Levine (WVU Tech)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- WVU Tech first baseman Tanner Levine hit .619 with three home runs and 10 RBIs from April 11-17 to claim KIAC Baseball Player of the Week honors.
The Long Beach, Calif., native is second in the KIAC in hitting at .432 for the season after going 13 for 21 in seven games last week. WVU Tech went 7-0 in those games.
Levine collected 10 hits in 14 at bats in a four-game sweep of Cincinnati Christian. That included three homers, a triple and a double. He also picked up a couple of hits in a win over Bluefield State.
In addition to his 13 hits on the week, he also drew five walks and scored 11 runs. WVU Tech improved to 29-12 overall, 18-6 KIAC and visit St. Andrews April 19. The Golden Bears host Rio Grande this weekend April 22-23.
