KIAC Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week: Carrie Corriell (Rio Grande)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- University of Rio Grande thrower Carrie Corriell is once again the KIAC Women's Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for April 11-17.
The senior from Lucasville, Ohio, placed in three throwing events at the Ball State Challenge. She was seventh in the shot put and met the NAIA B qualifying standard at 13.07 meters.
She was fifth in the discus at 40.96 meters and eighth in the hammer throw at 46.59 meters. The meet including nine of the 11 participating teams from NCAA Division I with Rio Grande and NAIA power Indiana Tech as the others.
