(By IU Southeast Sports Information)

NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The IU Southeast baseball team is ranked No. 25 in the latest NAIA Baseball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, which was released Tuesday (April 19). The Grenadiers (27-11, 19-1 KIAC) are ranked in the Top 25 for the first time in the program's 38-year history.

The Grenadiers had been gaining votes throughout the season and earned the ranking with nine wins in a row.

IU Southeast's resume for its first ranking was built in part with two wins this year over No. 24-ranked Lindsey Wilson. When the Grenadiers defeated LWC, the Blue Raiders were ranked No. 10 and No. 24, respectively.

IU Southeast opened the season with a 6-3 win over then-No. 14 Tennessee Wesleyan, who is currently No. 6 in the poll.

IU Southeast is the first team to break into the Top 25 from the KIAC during the regular season. Rio Grande was ranked No. 25 in the NAIA preseason Top 25.
