KIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week: Jason Kim (Point Park)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park (Pa.) University senior left-hander Jason Kim threw six shut-out innings versus Asbury (Ky.) to register KIAC Baseball Pitcher of the Week for April 18-24.
A native of LaCrescenta, Calif., Kim held Asbury to three hits over his six innings without giving up a run. He struck out seven, walked none and retired the first 10 batters he faced.
He was lifted in the seventh inning with the Pioneers up 12-0 to allow fellow senior Ben Jarboe to pitch an inning on Senior Day.
For the year, Kim is fifth in the KIAC with a 3.31 ERA and has a record of 4-3. Point Park (24-20, 17-7 KIAC) closes out the KIAC regular season this weekend at Brescia (Ky.) for four games.
