KIAC Women's Golf Player of the Week: Breanna Nowak
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Breanna Nowak is the KIAC Women's Golf Player of the Week for the fifth time this season, this after winning medalist honors at the KIAC Women's Golf Tournament and qualifying for nationals this past weekend.
The freshman from Chippewa Falls, Wis., shot rounds of 80 and 75 to win the KIAC individual title by one shot. She trailed by three strokes after the first round but rallied for the victory.
With the win, Nowak qualifies for the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship May 17-20 at Savannah Quarters Country Club in Pooler, Ga. She is the first conference champion and national qualifier from IU East women's golf.
