KIAC Track & Field Championships -- April 30 at Rio Grande (Ohio)

MEET SCHEDULE / LIVE RESULTS

RIO GRANDE, Ohio -- The 2016 KIAC Men's & Women's Track & Field Championship Meet will be held this Saturday, April 30 at the University of Rio Grande.

Seven men's teams and seven women's teams will compete for the conference championship with the team that scores the most points crowned the winner. Rio Grande is the defending champion in both genders and the host for the second year in a row.

The meets starts at 10 a.m. with field and track and events beginning simultaneously. The complete meet schedule is available at the link above. Scoring will be provided by Tri-State Racers.

Admission is $5.00 per person. Parking is limited but is available adjacent to the track facility. Additional parking is available in the Bob Evans Farms Hall parking lot across from the soccer fields. Concessions will be available.

The KIAC meet provides another opportunity for athletes to qualify for the NAIA Men's & Women's Outdoor Track & Field National Championship May 26-28 at Gulf Shores, Ala. All marks that meet the national qualifying standards will qualify individuals for the national meet. All qualifications for NAIA track & field are on an individual basis.

The top three placements in each event will earn KIAC all-conference honors. The top six placements in each event will score points toward the team total.

The top men's and women's individual performer in terms of most points scored in the meet will be declared the top KIAC male and female athletes.

KIAC Men's & Women's Track & Field Championship competing teams: Asbury (Ky.) University, Brescia (Ky.) University, Indiana University East, Ohio Christian University, Point Park (Pa.) University, University of Rio Grande (Ohio) and WVU Tech.
