KIAC Men's Tennis Tournament Day 1 Recap: Asbury, IU Southeast advance

****UPDATE at 10 am ET**** -- The KIAC Men's Tennis Championship match will be moved indoors to the Dayton Center Courts and begin at 1 pm ET. Address: 4801 Salem Avenue in Dayton.

RICHMOND, Ind. – No. 1 seed Asbury and No. 2 seed IU Southeast will meet in the KIAC Men's Tennis Tournament championship match after Friday's opening matches hosted by Indiana University at Earlham College's south courts.

Asbury, ranked No. 25 in the NAIA Men's Tennis Top 25, won its only match of the day, a 5-0 win over No. 4 Brescia in the semifinals.

Brescia had advanced to the semifinals with a first-round win over No. 5 Alice Lloyd, 6-1.

No. 2 IU Southeast reached the finals by winning its only match of the day, 5-0, over No. 3 Indiana East in the semifinals.

Saturday's championship match is scheduled for 10 a.m. ET. Live Scoring is available at the link below courtesy of Indiana East.

By reaching the finals, Asbury and IU Southeast will both advance to the Unaffiliated Group Tournament hosted by NAIA No. 1 Georgia Gwinnett on May 6-7. The champion there will qualify for the NAIA Men's Tennis National Championship.
