KIAC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week: Alex Vaughn (Point Park)
FLORENCE, Ky. -- Point Park University sophomore Alex Vaughn won the 400 meters at the NCAA Division II Slippery Rock Dave Labor Invitational to claim the KIAC Men's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week award for March 28-April 3.
From Monroeville, Pa., Vaughn posted the best time in the KIAC so far this year when he won the 400 meters with a time of 50.37 seconds. He also was a big part of the 4x400 relay team that placed second. With Vaughn on the anchor leg, Point Park had a time of 3:35.90.
Point Park returns to action at the Mt. Union Jim Wuske Invitational scheduled for this Saturday, April 9.
